I have built a chess robot using Lego and Raspberry Pi.

But what is novel in this robot is the code I have written for move recognition. This vision code is usable for chess robots built in many other ways. I am making this code available for personal use.
No special chess board, reed switches or whatever are required.
All the code runs on an RPi, making the chess robot potentially portable.
